Me Melia Barcelona is a true gem. Gorgeous rooms, great food: walking distance to upscale shopping, Michelin star eating and other major attractions. The true highlight of our trip was Anna at the breakfast buffet, and the mangers, whose names I can’t remember :(. They went out of their way to make guests feel special and appreciated. 5 star service for sure. Not only is this location a beautiful, clean and quiet oasis, but you feel like part of the family staying here. I miss them already!

Just got done with a couple of days at the ME. For starters, location location location. It's just a block from Placa Catalunya and La Rambla. Plenty of options for food and stuff within walking distance. There's also a Metro station a block away as well. For those going to/from the airport, the Aerobus station is a block away at the Placa for a quick ride to the airport. The hotel itself is really nice, new and modern. The room was a nice size for a downtown european location. The shower was glass and one side was on the room side with a semi transparent curtain on the glass outside so if you're with other people you don't know well it could be awkward :) We did the full breakfast which was nice, not a lot of hot options (eggs, beans, bacon, sausage) but they do custom egg orders when you are seated. Lots of meats and fruits. There are two menus at the restaurant for dinner, one more Italian and one Mediterranean, plus a brunch on Sunday which really was good. Overall, a great stay. Staff was very attentive and helpful. And you can't beat the location.

I’ve never been in a hotel that was so accommodating in my life. If you have upgrade/late checkout options they will absolutely accommodate you. I stayed a day before a cruise and had lunch the next day. The cheese/meat boards in the upgraded rooms are a nice touch. They gave me a tour of the beautiful hotel, and offered plenty of amenities to ensure my stay was as comfortable as possible. Their drinks are excellent at the bar, and I had a nice lunch. I stayed for a day when a came back from the cruise. I think they could tell I was a little run down, and they put me in a room much earlier than check in time which was extremely helpful. I didn’t want to leave that comfortable room. I won’t stay anywhere else and I’ll be looking for the Melia brand anywhere I go from here on.
