The Flora restaurant was amazing! Diego was an excellent server, very attentive and respectful. We will definitely come back and eat here again AND ask for Diego for the best treatment!

My wife and I currently are leaving today after spending 6 nights at La Perla for our 4th Anniversary. First off we had an amazing time and it was so much better than expected. We’ve only done Sandals (St Lucia and Barbados) in the past and were a little nervous about an all inclusive that wasn’t through them. Our concerns never came into fruition. The hotel staff, restaurant staff, bartenders were all phenomenal. I was really impressed with the restaurants and the Buffett too. We ended up eating at the Buffett every morning and swapped between it, Fahrenheit grill and lunch box for lunch. César Santini also is amazing. He was able to get our restaurants booked before hand and answer all my questions via email. We did the Chichen Itza tour (great tour but long, I would do a private one if I was you) and it ended up lasting longer than expected but we were able to email him early that morning and he was able to move our reservations to a later time with no worries. His recommendations were spot on and recommended Lemon Fish for our anniversary dinner. It was very good. If you are a little picky you may find it tough at some of the restaurants to eat because of how nice and fancy the food is. Our room was great too and such a great value. Showers, bed and amenities were great and it was much larger than expected. The housekeepers always tidied up great too. We did not do reserve but were glad we didn’t. We are younger so we weren’t worried about having a noisy pool. I feel if we would have been reserve we still would’ve used the loud pool. We love tequila so we definitely had some amazing margaritas (spicy mango margarita was our fave) and mezcalita! We went to the Yhi Spa and had one of the best massages we’ve had in a very long time. We did this in the middle of our trip and it was great. I did the Swedish massage and my wife did the relaxing. I definitely recommend Alberto and Irene for your massages. They were great!! Overall if you’re hesitant about booking a future trip at La Perla don’t be. Only cons would be the beach due to the seaweed but know the hotel can’t help that and they do clean it up as best as they can. We spent most of the days by the pool due to it being so close to the swim up bar. Go check out La Perla. You won’t be disappointed!

Mago is a GREAT bartender/ magician and all around host. Great drinks, recommendations and company. The sports / music bar is a great place to be with him around. Lots of character and piece of mind. A great addition to any resort, La Perla is lucky to have him. Thank you for the drinks and time Mago. -Alex
