Villa Medicea La Ferdinanda
Recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Medici Villa La Ferdinanda welcomes you to its exclusive setting, steeped in the rich history of the noble Medici family. Built in 1596 by Ferdinando I de’ Medici at the behest of Bernardo Buontalenti, La Ferdinanda is characterised by its chimneys, earning it the name of the ‘Villa of 100 Chimneys’. La Ferdinanda is at the heart of the exquisite Tenuta di Artimino estate, which spreads over 732 hectares of idyllic Tuscan countryside. Here nature, history and art combine harmoniously, with late-Renaissance frescoes by painters Domenico Cresti and Bernardino Poccetti adorning the Villa’s walls.
