Hotels in Chengdu

You can’t visit Chengdu without coming to visit some of its most illustrious residents: the giant pandas. Another giant is the Leishan Giant Buddha, 71 metres tall and spectacularly carved out of the rock of a cliff.

The Buddha mountains

Nestled between mountains, the peacefulness of Chengdu is in marked contrast with the hustle and bustle of other large Chinese cities. Lose yourself in the magical bamboo forest at the Wuhou Temple, taste the best cuisine in the Little Lhasa Tibetan quarter, visit the People’s Park, see the 400 Buddha statues in the Wenshu Monastery or the spectacular engineering at the Dujiangyan Dams. These are just a few of the things to do in Chengdu. And not forgetting seeing how pandas live in their natural habitat.
